I just spent 15 minutes checking new posts only to see Hi, hello, welcome,
Suck it up, TU :laugh: , it won't be long before you checking IPs and banning spammers!

It is amazing the amount of spam you can get!
We prolly spend more time checking/banning IPs than modding.

The stop forum spam one is cool.  I dunno if PWG ever gave you the link I gave him to the site that actually sell the  most prolific  spambot?  LMK if you don't have it and I'll PM it to you.  When you see what features it has and what it can do to get around forum registration security, it's mind blowing

We really do want this to be a sanctuary from the hacks/lowballers/call em what you will etc.  There is a need for it and that is the direction we're going to try and take this place.  Once the initial opening party is over and things settle down over this next week, we will be able to start getting down to what we started out to do.

Bill, no wonder the NGPP aint too active.  Half of those IP address you've got would block about 2/3 of the globe from the site 

The IP addresses that aren't complete would block the whole IP block.  It's dodgy blocking a whole range or block because you severely restrict access.

If you want a good list and regularly updated then you should use the stop forum spam list  

 

Up, about 2/3 of the globe. but about 95% of spam come from those IP's.
