On your travels from job to job we all see some shocking cock up's from other trades, even from our own trade.
Stick your finds on this thread.

This is now the Official Poor Workmanship Thread.

The sparky's don't get any better, do they? This is the handy work of a sparky I regularly have to go behind :censored: head!!!

    RE: Sparky's

I'm usually on d/w with the builder, Rich. I am forever telling him it is costing him money for me to put it right. Rather than making the sparky do his job right, he just lets me put his work right.

Now, hear is another one. I went back to that job today to push it on a bit more. One of the guys was plastering around a new door opening for wheelchair access.
LHS of the architrave had to have a chase and a new socket installed, which this sparky did last week.
The finish had gone off by late afternoon and the guy who plastered up happened to lean on the damn plaster. He was getting a current coming thru the plaster from the wiring into his hand.
I had a go and there was definitely a current.
Apparently, the sparks had cut his wire short and joined an extra length with a block and insu tape... WTF! :omg:

    Useless builders having a go.

These are taken from the toilets at a hall I am working on.

This was done about a year ago by a builder who tried to have a go at things they weren't really able to do and should now hopefully be out of work.
What's worse is they got paid and the people I am painting for told me in no uncertain terms that "this has to be a pucker job." :omg:

    Anyway...
