    Hi.
    Had a chat with fellow painter and he was deeply shocked that;
    Primo- I do ironing myself
    Secundo- I do iron most of my work wear.
    Tertio- I don't belive anyone is able to do it for me properly.

    We've had this on here a few years back @Tomcio, unless things have changed we are in the minority in ironing our workwear!

    No workwear is ironed for me. Don’t see the point. An old mate of mine used to have his overalls ironed with crisp seams down front and back.

    We all ripped the piss out of him every Monday morning :hysterical:

    @ mistcoat there is a way to iron trousers without having the crisp seam down the front, ask your missus to explain it to you.
    I'm sure she'd respond just how I imagine mine would!:shocked:

    Mum told me:

    Do you only work in your underpants @Tomcio ? We used to have a bloke around here called himself ‘the naked gardener’, but he only went bare chested.
    I suppose it stops you having to dry all those wet clothes on rainy days.

    This is where the thread went the last time this subject came up @orbitalforest.
    You think its hilarious but as brits, we (customers) would never say to a deccy that has arrived to look at some work 'you look a scruffy git, if you cant take care of yourself are you going to look after my property.?:think:'
    'But' I've had new customers 'tell me' they had a couple of deccy's look at the job but I was the cleanest, best presented both myself and van and that won me the work.
    Any edge over the competition is a edge I'm happy to exploite.:yes:

    I try to avoid doing quote visits in my working gear - always change into smart casual for those visits. Once I get the job they're not going to care what I wear to work - they've already met me looking clean.
