Tons of repairs, using the repair care system, it maybe expensive, but sure works out to be a great buy.

I have so many pictures, but can only upload 10, so May upload some more during the thread

Looks great. Custard creams used to save on repair care ?

Reckon curly wurlys might have been better, less brittle

    Not at all @barry

All in all it took 13 days, even though we turned up and went back home on 2.5 other days, so 16.5 days, worked 13.

It took me a solid 8 days just doing the repair care rot, then sanding and priming, whilst I was doing all that, the boi was sanding, using Mirka HD 60 grit.

The window sill at front fell off, when sanding. because it was so rotten, so I got some 4x2, used my circular saw, dropped the blade in around 8mm and made a drip, I moved across slowly and made it about 5mm wide ( the picture shows it in primer, Caparol Haftprimer.

The front door was split, so I had to repair care it to the other side, brace it in the middle, using splints and wedge them in across the tenon.

Then we both painted, the remainder 5 days (13 days in total)

Thank you all for you lovely support and kind words.

    The title should have read
“1st Exterior in BM, this year”

I have the next exterior in BM then one in Caparol, then one in Tikkurila Finngard silicone protect, I will be using the uni primer on that job, as this house it 30 seconds away from this one above, and this is in a sorry state.

Then I’ll do mine in Tikkurila Finngard too. :hothothot:

Thanks again lads, I’m actually working today, money grabbing, insurance job :horlicks:/:biggrin:

Nice turnaround of a rough exterior there @Daf !

I've got one in a similar state in a few weeks, 'we thought it was ready to be painted' they said when I viewed it.
Nope it was ready to be painted 5 yrs ago, now its knackered!!

Was it all brush work Steve or did you get the sprayer out at all?

@Buckers ...Hi Mark... I know this is a drum I beat too often... but it fits here perfectly....”Nope it was ready to be painted 5 yrs ago, now its fit for burning “
Apologies but it still tickles me when I recall the face of Mr Get Up Yr Nose who has dammed his chance of me even getting pad and pen out as we stand looking at his rotting pile and he has said “I reckon you you should knock that out in 3 or 4 days”. He follows with,”What say you?”
It is worth it as I’m finding the van keys , “Id say burn it “ Pratt :archieslap:
