Organised chaos mate, but it was the end of the job, not usually like that, but I carry to much stuff I done need every day, hence why the smaller van.

My van is the same. I carry way to much gear as I don't have a garage to put it in plus I have no shelving either as I like to keep the weight down on the floor.

It’s crazy how much we cart about, shame you don’t have a garage, my garage is to the brim too, I’m having a “free” day, where in the village, we place a sign “free” and people just take what’s there. I have a load of paint that’s going very soon, surprisingly it soon mounts up!

Just an update, I’ve had so much crap onboard, you wouldn’t believe it!

Bags upon bags of stuff carting about to ea h job and never used, I’ve gone really hard in this and thrown away Makita drills I e never used batteries, old caulk/silicone, filler, screws, brackets, paint, plastic covers, damn it’s like a hoarders bedsit! I’ve even dumped a load in my neighbours bin as they are not there.

I’ve lost 3 Wooster roller sleeves 14 inch to oil, it’s been leaking for ages, a box of Q1 masking tape that’s so old, it can with a stone plate description, brushes that have gone so hard, makes me envious :sarcastic:

Plasic boxes that haven’t been opened for a long long time, I’m now passed the halfway point, still, onwards and upwards

    must dash!:cavelrycharge:

I spend about 3 days a year clearing out the garage, considering buying another garage as i literally have 40cm walking space down the middle.

I think you’re spot on with a good clear out, when I’ve re racked the van, I’ll do exactly the same.

@Daf i slowly have added free shelving over the years, when i do some commercial rip outs (less since covid) i would take the shelving due for skipping yet despite about 8m x 3m space with floor to ceiling shelving it still finds a way to fill up.

Anyone noticed the used van market has gone through the roof.
It's probably because there isn't many new ones around.

I priced mine up for a Caddy auto 150 hp one, a 69 plate.
    They offered me £19,500, I only paid £ 18,300 2 and half year's ago

Don't worry I'm sure you'll be able to squeeze it all back into the new van and get your garage back. (for a short while)

Well, I e already thrown 2.5 wheelie bins away, many of that stuff was still in good nice, like the Wagner hand held xvlp, small sander, rollers and brushes.

Lots more going this week as I rack the new one out.

I think the garage is the 80/20 rule.

As i use certain bits all the time other bits
Like the stripper a few times a year.
Some tools not touched in years but you know if you get rid your need it.

I have a set of spanner’s and sockets on the van, for the same reason I carry a fire extinguisher. No not to put out fires, smarty pants. Just because you never know when you’ll need them.
Today I can’t find insulation tape, deros intermediate pads and black bags.:censored:
