Exterior Adhesion primers testing.

    What's your views on superdec over woodstain straight on . I've done in the past seemed ok

    If I owe you money then I have never met you:sarcastic:

    Never had a problem with adhesion with any superdec jobs but always do alot of sanding and prep when painting over stain systems

    You could always give Mark from FineFinish dot co a call. That is dot co, not dot co dot uk. He's a nice fella.
    See if he is interested in doing the job with you and you could get some teaching at the same time.

    Just searching exterior stuff and this thread popped up. @3 spires do you still have the test panels. Wonder how they’re holding up

    Unfortunately I since have moved house so it probably ended up in the skip.

    Sorry @Waynetta I do think the oil based primers work better on shiny surfaces.

    Cheers mate.
    I’ve got an oil based gloss cover up due in the summer, it’s in very good condition
    apart from a conservatory that the Putty as started to crack on the panes and I’m considering Caparol Haftprimer and grand entrance satin BM over the top. obliviously I’m going to prep well before applying anything.
