I've just made some sturdy shelving for the garage this weekend, it took much longer than I thought but I got there in the end. I got the design off a youtube video by Pouse around the House. At last I'll be able to store all the decorating gear in some sort of order. Shelves.jpg Shelves.jpg

Looks great . That'll be filled up with old paint tins that never get touched in no time!

You're not wrong cpb, I had to clear about 10 half full/empty tins to get the space.

Tim, @mistcoat has some spare racking in his van he could have sold it to you as it’s not being used.

@Painter16 what's worse is even if I wanted to use the paint on the shelves, I can't reach it because of all the useless paint on the floor in front of them.

Nice mate, what did that cost you in timber?

Thanks!, it wasn't cheap, £240 from Travis Perkins and £20 for the screws from screwfix. I thought I'd be spending a similar amount for flimsy metal ones, I had a look at BigDoug but these are 2.4m high and 2.4 long. The depth was just half an OSB so around 600mm.

In case you think I'm joking. Hope you don't think I'm muscling in on your reputation @mistcoat

That’s how I done mine, but you can’t see it now as I have so much stuff covering it!

That's a solid design. It was a good idea to steer clear of Mdf too.
