    Cheers chaps @LMDec & @Tomcio

It did cover in two, Tomcio. As Craig says, don't try and push the paint out and all should go well and it genuinely did go well.
Looks like a colour that could give you a problem, doesn't it?!

Hang on, before I hit "post reply"... It did need an extra swipe above the skirting where the white hadn't covered in places. Didn't happen down the sides of the architrave though :scratchhead:

What was the colour under the red?

It hasn't been painted since it was built a good ten plus years ago. I imagine it was New Gardenia as it doesn't look like Magnolia to me.

It would of been going on over contract matt then. Did it suck the life out of it. How much was left over?

    Looks good

On previous jobs when going over a contract matt, the life has been sucked out of any BM paint I've used. But not so on this one. I had about half a tin left over for the folks for touch ins. Two gallons brought to the job.

Leyland contract is the worst I've found to suck the life out of BM on a first coat.

When applying the Cranberry did you slap it on in a hurry, or did you linger :scratchhead:

How do you find the regal matte? In terms of durability & flashing? I have a huge house to do, top to bottom in white & they have asked for a durable white on the walls throughout. Thanks mate.

I've just finished a HSL in white optiva 5. I get them to add extra white tint to help opcacity . I know Tikurilla whites can struggle with opactity but I was really impressed with it. They didn't charge extra for the tint so it was £50 Inc vat for ten litres . First coat struggled a little bit as I think it the old paint might have sucked the life out of it a bit. Went on great after that. Still took three coats but I'd expect that from any brand with it being white over a darker colour. Just thought I'd mention it.
