I was asked to do this Tikkurila Taika Pearl Paint effect in a relatives bedroom. Colour is TVT 2098.
Good job it was for a relative because I have never used this paint before.

All I did was apply it with a 6” mini roller in roughly m2 sections and criss-cross any old how with a 3” brush.
Totally blagged it and from the road, it looks a good’un

Name of the game with this one, don’t be afraid of rolling it on thicker than an emulsion.
It needs it to maintain a wet edge.

It's only in a little box room, so not much scope for a photo without a fish eye lens. So sorry about photo.

Mark’s out of ten folks

Wouldn’t have it in my house , but looks an interesting effect and nicely done

Looks great! Crown used to do something similar, forget what it was called?

Cheers, Ali. It's called "The hand has gone to sleep and trying to shake it Out" effect :hysterical:

    I thank you sir.
I seem to remember Crown doing it to now you've mentioned it.

I did a feature wall with this a long while back and used the suede effect, you could only apply it with a brush and the effect was chit the finish was like 80grit abrasive stuck on the wall in a colour.

It's definitely different @mistcoat. I don't mind it to be honest and to be fair, it looks better than your normal finish.

Remember being shown the same technique years ago but can't remember what paint it was. Lime paint :dunno: ? Cross hatching as you go in squares.
